UK Business Leaders Discuss Human Capital as a Source of Competitive
Advantage at Hunt-Scanlon Conference

STAMFORD, CT, November 8, 2006 - An influential group of talent management professionals gathered in London at the prestigious Institute of Directors for Hunt-Scanlon's Human Capital Advantage Forum: "Creating True Competitive Advantage Through Human Capital Programs." The UK's competitive talent market served as the perfect backdrop for the U.S.-based market research firm's first overseas event, which attracted over 250 senior level professionals from 12 countries.

During the event, many of the UK's top business leaders shared their perspectives on the most pressing human capital related issues facing globally integrated organizations, including globalization, managing change, recruiting executive talent, diversity, employee engagement, retention and succession planning.

The event began wiith an Awards Dinner honoring the leadership accomplishments of visionary CEO Dr. Jean-Pierre Garnier of GlaxoSmithKline, who accepted Hunt-Scanlon's inaugural Global Human Capital Leadership Award. Among the featured presenters were HBOS banking chief executive Benny Higgins, who shared why talent is at the top of the agenda at his organization. Dan Glaser, managing director of AIG Europe Ltd., who also serves as the president of British American Business, Inc. (BABi), provided his perspectives on why talent is the key driver of success in the global economy.
