2:00 - 2:45 p.m. - A CEO's Perspective: Making Talent a Priority

Meeting the talent demands in today's increasingly competitive global business environment requires the full-time efforts of an experienced and dedicated management team, oftentimes comprising thousands of human resource, personnel and line professionals. But no one member of management is more vital to this strategy than a company's chief executive, the leader who sets the agenda that defines the corporate culture. To develop a talent management strategy that allows for direct connections between the value employees offer and a company's bottom line, CEO's must be able to create a company-wide mind-set that places a premium on attracting, developing and retaining top talent. In this special presentation, Mr. Higgins will discuss the importance of making talent a priority throughout an organization, from his perspective as chief executive and main Plc board member of one of the UK's leading retail banking institutions.
